Monroe Sheffield

CORDELE — Monroe Sheffield, 91, of Cordele, died at Seminole County 
Hospital in Donalsonville, Thursday, May 5, 2005.

He was born Monday, July 28, 1913 in Crisp County and was the son of 
the late Samuel Jackson Sheffield and Mary Ella Cox Sheffield. Mr. 
Sheffield was a retired farmer and a member of Clements Community Club.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Rainey Funeral Services 
on Saturday at 2 p.m., with interment following at Zion Hope Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas D. Sheffield of Donalsonville, and 
Jimmy Sheffield of Many, LA; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Pearl Culpepper Sheffield. 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 p.m.-
